ASAN ALUMNI EDUCATIONAL TRUST (AAET) - LAUNCHED Wednesday, July 15, 2009 Click Picture to View More It gives us great pleasure to bring to your notice that the Asan Alumni Association has successfully launched an Educational trust namely the " ASAN ALUMNI EDUCATIONAL TRUST" henceforth referred to as the AAET. AAET will fund the school fee of economically challenged students of the Asan Memorial School. A process to identify deserving recipients is already in place. The AAET is uniquely structured to accomodate individual sub- funds under the common umbrella of the trust. The first such sub-fund called the "T G NAIR MEMORIAL FUND" has already been formed and the family members of (Late) Mr. T G Nair have consented to provide a substantial sum as seed capital. We also have a few other members of the AAA who have come forward to provide capital to start other sub-funds. The bank account of the AAET is with the Egmore branch of INDIAN BANK. Documents for registration under Section 12AA and 80G have been filed and registered with relevant authorities. All members of the AAA are requested to donate generously to the AAET. The association formed a sub committee and with the help from the school Principal, the team has identified few students of Classes 7, 8 and 9 who deserve to be sponsored to pursue their education considering their background and academic interest. ASAN ANNUAL DAY 2008 Friday, January 25, 2008 Click Picture to View More Members of the Asan Alumni Association actively participated in the Asan Annual Day Celebration held at the school auditorium on 25th January 2008. Mr. Anil Nair, President – AAA addressed the gathering at the inaugural function and highlighted on the activities of the association. He had a special mention for the students passing out in the current year and the years to come, on the career opportunities that may be available within the AAA members . He also mentioned about the role of the AAA in facilitating sponsorship for deserving students of the Asan Memorial Sr. Secondary School. Two students, one each in standard 10th and 12th, have been identified and their entire School fees for the academic year are being paid from the AAA fund. Children entertained the gathering with a variety of performances from scintillating dance numbers to melody fusion songs. It was a treat to watch the kindergarten kids perform a dance drama in harmony.
